Weight Watchers: 7 month mark
Well, here I am folks! 7 months of Weight Watchers under my belt, and 42 less pounds under my belt!! In fact.....I even am wearing a belt these days to hold my pants up!! Why buy clothes when there are 44 more pounds to go?
Such an exciting milestone tonight!! I have been trying for this last month to get up to 40 lbs lost! One week I gained and two of the weeks my loss was minimal: OK, it was actually 1 1/2 lbs one week and half a pound the other, which is actually good, but..... I am still looking to lose a lot of weight! Tonight I found out that I lost 3.6 lbs in THE LAST WEEK!!!!!!!!! Whoopie! I excercised EVERY SINGLE DAY, ate less points and limited desserts to 3 the whole week-super hard for a sweet tooth! Such SWEET rewards at the scale tonight!! In one more pound I will be at my halfway mark. With all this excercise I hope to reach that goal this week and to press on through. I have 23 lbs I want to lose by my anniversary in July. That is 2 lbs a week-which really isn't likely at this point, but I will persevere and get as close to that goal as possible.
I have been staring at the I CAN"T wall of EXERCISE for months. Now, I tore that I can't away and tried. I get up at 5:40 every morning and if Marc is gone I do a Cardio dvd in my living room and if Marc is home I go walk around the well-lit parking lot at Publix. All this is possible because my fellow Weight Watchers buddy, Erin, meets me there or comes here to work out with me. We are both pushing hard, even with me having 6 kids and her having 7 and both of us homeschooling!! We are making it work to lose this extra weight!
Keep praying for me!!

New Manipulations
My kids were born sinners. I admit it. They clearly follow in my footsteps! Thankfully I have risen above such manipulative attempts, but I had to list these-they are a hoot!
When I tell Gabriel "NO":
Gabriel: "Boo-boo" and holds up his finger.
When I tell Leah to go do something:
Leah: "My leg hurts!"
When Jake is strapped into his carseat or in bed:
Jacob: "I am so thirsty, I need a DRINK!!!"

Weight Watchers: Somewhere in the 7th month
Today was a good day. Rather, this week was a good week. I had hit the non-exercise wall with my head over and over the last month. Not losing weight by dieting alone just didn't want to sink in. FINALLY THIS WEEK, I determined to exercise. I walked with my friend Erin for 45 minutes and all the kids both Wednesday and Thursday nights-even after hectic days and rushed through dinners to get there! Friday I walked around the piano lesson building and to a produce stand for 25 min. On Saturday we got up at 6am and walked sans kids since Marc was home. Monday we had planned to walk, but it was stormy. This morning we did 45 minutes of a WW cardio DVD and were certainly sweatin' by the end! I tracked all my food religiously this week and was a good girl when we went to restaurants. It was a good week and I was praying for good results.
So the good results came in at 2.8 pounds lost this week. Mind you I gained a pound last week and a couple of weeks ago. I sure needed this. Another week with a 2 pound loss and I will be at 40 pounds lost!!! Super exciting. That will be half of my goal!! My current goal is 28 more pounds by July and the full 80 by December(15 months on the program). Lord willing I will reach my goals in time, or else break them(in the good sense)!!!!!!

So busy!
I was thinking lately how my updates (besides Weight Watchers) are all pictures and little commentary. I think that I have been so much busier since we moved that I have not had the energy to think straight or to write anything worth reading. So in a way I was sparing you :-).
There is so much to say about our move and our new life. This past Thursday passed the 3 month mark in this new stage of life-this move across the state. I am amazed 3 months have passed! The busyness is mostly here at home. Marc is here Thursday night to first light on Tuesday morning. This marks one part of our week. The other part is 60 hours of single mom time. It used to be more when we first moved here, so the 60 hour thing is NICE!!
Starting January 3rd the kids and I hit the school books--HARD! We had done little school for the last 6 weeks of 2010 and had a lot of time to make up for. We have been diligently working to accomplish school every single day and have, except for one week of Papa and Grammy's visit here in February/March. We called that Spring Break! Sarah and Daniel and I are enjoying our studies of an 1805 early American boy, learning all about the work done to take wild woods and turn it into a useful farm/homestead/ We have read through slavery, a Lincoln biography and are in the midst of the Civil War. The kids are reading heavily, but also enjoying the Wii that we purchased back in November.
On Tuesday nights they have a sitter and a movie night while I run to my Weight Watchers meeting. On Thursday mornings we all head out to Bible Study where the kids roam and play on 5 acres with most of the other children from church. We usually catch McDonald's happy-meal special that day before running an errand since we are out and about. Fridays we have piano lessons half and hour away. When we moved here I could only get lessons with a half hour break in between! So one kid would go, then we'd go do something that usually cost me money, then run back for piano lesson #2. Now I can have all 3 kids take 20 minute lessons in a row! This gives me a great chunk to walk laps around the building and since Marc is home on Fridays, it is baby and toddler free time!
Another aspect is the whole "how to order the cleaning of the new house and layout." This is still quite a work-in-progress! We have a ton of carpet here which is already turning a new darker color and tight rooms with lots of beds, dressers and TOYS! There is constant pick up going on!!! At the other house the toys mostly stayed in the playroom. I now realize what an IMMENSE blessing that was! I am not complaining(too loudly), just saying how we are trying to get the hang of this house all the while trying to homeschool like worker bees. Did I mention Gabriel cut out his morning nap when we moved here... yeah, we also have an 18 month old running around, getting into unlatched cupboards and drizzling bubble bath on the carpet. What a joy!
So ends my commentary on being so busy. I even left half of it out. I just realized that I am super tired and sounding it, so I will sign off for now!

Highlights of my day:
1. FInding the best sand toys at IKEA for my little girls! Sand cones and bundt cakes, here we come!!!
2. Being on a SKINNY street in my BIG van and whacking a parallel parked car's mirror with my mirror!
3. Having to say goodbye to Dad and Mom (not really a good highlight)
4. Being on the road for 7 hours with 6 kids!!
5. Having a night tonight with NO KIDS IN MY ROOM (or bathroom!)
6. Visiting a new-to-me-Costco and getting the run around about coupons. Funny how different stores have different policies. It all worked out in the end!
